Nigel Philip Webster was born on June 25, 1949, in Molesworth, Cambridgeshire. Growing up in Cambridgeshire he moved around as his father was a Policeman in various locations. Nigel was fiercely proud of both his Mum, Kathleen Webster and Dad, Ridley Webster, and had fond memories of his Alsatian 'Duke' (police dog). In his younger years, he went to Molesworth Grammar School, and later became a student at Alsager College. After leaving college, Nigel had a year out working various jobs before beginning his career as a Geography teacher. Nigel's first post was at North Romford Comprehensive School (Forest Lodge) where he met his wife, Trish and other life long friends like Keith, Marj and Co! When Nigel moved on from Forest Lodge, he took up a position at Brittons School and later moved on to St. Edwards CofE School. Nigel remained at St. Edwards for the remainder of his teaching career, making many new friends and later taking up the position of Deputy Head.
Family meant everything to Nigel and heloved to talk about his four children; Jonathan, Matthew, Hannah and Peter. He was a phenomenal role model to them, a great parent, best friend and ally. He encouraged their love of sport (especially Rugby) and travel, as well as allowing them to follow their dreams. He instilled in them his belief in altruism and fairplay. The family remained close, both emotionally and geographically, and in recent years he revelled in the two most recent additions; Noah and Nils, who certainly brought out the 'big kid' in him!
He is much loved and will always be remembered, as the lovely, kind, warm-hearted man that he was. A gentle giant.
