Tim 22nd November 2021

I've only just come across this tribute (November 2021) and was shocked to hear of Nige's passing. I taught science at NRCS for a year; it must have been around 1974. I remember playing with Nigel in a staff v. sixth form rugby match. I also remember sampling the pubs and beers (and occasional discos) around Essex. When I left Lodge Lane I made a career change and ran a stall on Romford Market and also Southend, Petticoat Lane and Portobello Road. During my weekly sojourn I would regularly crash on the floor of Nigel's flat In Cranbrook Road, Ilford. Happy days and happy memories of a great bloke. So sad though to come across such sad news but I was cheered by learning how much strength and happiness he had derived from his family. RIP Nige. Tim Topham
